coat of arms

Jatznick coat of arms
Blazon : “Split; in front a blue ash branch in silver; behind in blue a stork in natural colors with raised right stand. "

The coat of arms and the flag were designed by the Schwerin heraldist Heinz Kippnick . It was approved together with the flag on February 12, 2002 by the Ministry of the Interior and registered under No. 258 of the coat of arms of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Reasons for the coat of arms: In the coat of arms, the ash branch stands according to the design principle of the pars pro toto as a speaking symbol for the place name, which comes from the Slavic language and means something like ash forest. The stork is intended to refer to the numerous nesting sites of the white stork in the municipality. The tinging of the coat of arms in silver and blue indicates that the municipality belongs to the Western Pomerania region.
