Rollwitz is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald in the east of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , (Germany). It is administered by the Uecker-Randow-Tal office based in the city of Pasewalk .
geography
The municipality of Rollwitz on the state border with Brandenburg lies on the north-western edge of a terminal moraine that stretches in a semicircle from the Ueckertal to the Randowtal ; the Schmarsow district is on the east bank of the Uecker. The area is dominated by agriculture. 800 meters southeast of the village is the approximately 0.1 hectare large lake Schweinpfuhl.
Rollwitz is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pasewalk in the north, Fahrenwalde in the east, Schönfeld in the south, Nieden in the south-west, Uckerland and Brietzig in the west and Papendorf in the north-west.
Community structure
On January 1, 2012, the formerly independent communities of Damerow and Züsedom were incorporated into Rollwitz.

history
Damerow
Estate of the von Winterfeld family since the end of the 16th century. The manor house (castle) and the extensive farm yard of Damerow from around 1835 burned down in 1945; The manager's house and an unrenovated barn have been preserved.
Rollwitz The place was first mentioned in the Landbuch of the Mark Brandenburg from 1375 as Rullenwitze .
On July 25, 1952 Rollwitz was together with other municipalities from the Brandenburg until 1945 Prussian district Prenzlau removed and the district Pasewalk in Neubrandenburg assigned.
Gut Rollwitz At the end of the 14th century the estate belonged to the knights Schernekow and Lindstedt as well as church foundations in Pasewalk. At the beginning of the 17th century the estate belonged to the Lindstedts before it came to the Rittmeister von Winterfeldt in 1688 . In 1833 it was acquired by Ferdinand Ernst Adolf von Stülpnagel . During the land reform , the estate became an LPG . The manor house was inhabited until the fire in 1988 and has been empty since then. The entire former estate and the church are surrounded by a listed courtyard wall, the manor house was also listed. The manor house was sold and demolished in 2010 despite being a listed building.
Züsedom
Züsedom was first mentioned in a document in 1367 as a manor village. The stone church dates from the 13th century, destroyed in 1945 and rebuilt in 1966.

Coat of arms, flag, official seal
The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag . The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the region of Western Pomerania . It shows an upright griffin with a raised tail and the inscription "GEMEINDE ROLLWITZ * LANDKREIS VORPOMMERN-GREIFSWALD".
Sightseeing
The Rollwitz Church was probably built in the 13th century. The choir was originally intended to be supplemented by a wider nave towards the west . Inside there is a pulpit altar from 1731.
Transport links
The federal road 109 (Pasewalk– Prenzlau ) runs through Rollwitz . The Pasewalk-Süd junction of the federal motorway 20 is located directly southwest of the village . The next train station is in Pasewalk .
