geography
Heinrichswalde is located in a wooded landscape north of the Brohmer Mountains and on the southern edge of the Friedland Great Meadow with Lake Galenbeck .
Places in the area are: Fleethof , Galenbeck , Galenbecker See , Friedländer Große Wiese , expansion , Eichhof housing estate , Mühlenhof in the north, Wittenborn , Moosbruch in the east and Gehren , Gehren expansion , Rohrkrug , Wietsch , Neuensund and Rothemühl in the south.
history
The place name was given by King Friedrich Wilhelm I in honor of the general tenant of this area, Henrici.
The village was laid out in the context of the Frederician colonization in 1737 as the Vorwerk of the Torgelow office. In 1748 colonists came from southern Germany (so-called Palatinate), who had been promised accommodation, arable and meadow land, exemption from military service and free religious practice. When the six farmers, six half-farmers and 18 cossets arrived in Heinrichswalde, they had to clear their land themselves, contrary to what had been promised; after that the land was measured by the general tenant Henrici not according to the Pomeranian standard, but according to the Magdeburg standard , which meant 7000 m² less arable land for each farmer.
In addition to this fraud, the general tenant Henrici demanded the lease in Brandenburg coins, but their hard work was rewarded in Sundian shillings, so that they had to accept losses when exchanging them. No services on the Vorwerk Heinrichswalde were mentioned in their privilege , Henrici jun. nevertheless demanded it from the settlers. The Pomeranian War and Domain Chamber in Stettin and the colonists had a decade-long dispute in this matter. In 1771 the spokesmen for Heinrichswalde, Wittmann, Lauffer and Greiner were temporarily imprisoned. The farmers also involved the general management in Berlin and King Friedrich II in their dispute.
The new general tenant Ingermann tried to use Pasewalker Dragoons to force the farmers to do the natural services. Finally, the dispute came to an end in 1774: In so-called court letters (documents) they received their possession confirmed as property. However, services, albeit heavily discounted, were fixed for the Wilhelmsburg and Mühlenhof works.
On July 1, 1950, Heinrichswalde was incorporated into Rothemühl and on January 1, 1957, it became an independent municipality again.
In 1954 the unique natural beauty around Heinrichswalde (Galenbecker See) was visited by Helmut Drechsler and described in the book Wildschwäne über Uhlenhorst .
Much has been done since the fall of the Wall to improve the townscape. From 1992 the town center (sidewalks, street lighting) was extensively renovated with the help of urban development funding. The renovations also affected the daycare center, the community center and the volunteer fire department . Heinrichswalde was able to achieve very good placements in the district, state and federal competition "Our village should be more beautiful".
Two transport companies, an electrical company, a well construction company, a fishery with a sales outlet, a textile and grocery store, a hairdresser and other small craft and service companies are located in the community.

coat of arms
Blazon : “In silver over a blue corrugated shield base, inside a silver pike with black markings, a torn, green leafed and fertilized black oak; elevated by a black-and-silver sea eagle soaring. "
The coat of arms was designed by the Torgelow Reiner Kummer . It was approved on December 18, 1996 by the Ministry of the Interior and registered under the number 120 of the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. |
|
Reasons for the coat of arms: In the coat of arms, the base of the wave shield is supposed to symbolize Lake Galenbeck, whose fish population includes pike in particular. On the one hand, the oak creates a visual reference to part of the place name as a speaking symbol, on the other hand it stands for the forest surrounding the community. The white-tailed eagle refers to the species of eagle nesting in the area. |
flag
The municipality does not have an officially approved flag .
Official seal
The official seal shows the municipal coat of arms with the inscription "GEMEINDE HEINRICHSWALDE * LANDKREIS VORPOMMERN-GREIFSWALD".
