The two neighboring communities of Grambin are Ueckermünde in the southeast and Mönkebude in the west.

Tourism plays an important role in the municipality (communal camping park, public bathing area). In addition, the area around Grambin has a lot to offer for nature lovers: extensive wooded areas rich in game, meadows and fishing waters. The area is well developed by a network of bike and hiking trails. In the village you can still find thatched half-timbered houses that are over 200 years old .

history

Originally a Wendish settlement, Grambin was first mentioned in a document in 1451.

The fishing village was listed as Grammi on a Pomeranian map in 1618 . From 1648 to 1720 Grambin was Swedish with the so-called Alt-Vorpommern. After the Thirty Years War the village still had two farms and three cottages .

From the 18th century onwards, smaller shipyards were built on the lagoon , and at the end of the 19th century there was also a shipyard in Grambin. In 1777 a post road from Anklam to Stettin was laid, which led through the municipality. The local residents had to do manual services here. Around 1900, wood was rafted over the Zarow . This wood was loaded onto barges in Grambin. In the 1930s there were several trades in the village, including inns, haulage companies, bakers, tailors, carpenters and butchers.

On July 1, 1950, Grambin was incorporated into Mönkebude and became independent again on January 1, 1957. From 1965 tourism developed in the municipality with the opening of the campsite.
