history

Before 1816 Neuensund belonged to the Uckermark district of the Uckermark in the Mark Brandenburg and then came to the Prenzlau district . The table sheet with the number 1052/2448 and the name Strasburg from 1835 depicts the place as a village deformed by the manor formation. On this map there is also a park “Monplaisir” and a “Thiergarten”, a “keeper's house” west of the “Sund or Schmiedegrundsee” and three kilometers west-southwest of the village, the “Neuensunder brickworks” and a lime kiln. In 1860 the size of the parish was given as a total of 1074  acres . Of these, 8 acres were homesteads, 16 acres were garden land, 599 acres were arable, 92 acres were meadows and 359 acres were pasture. In addition, 4,223 acres were recorded for the Neuensund manor district in the same year. These were divided into 14 acres of homesteads, 61 acres of garden land, 2031 acres of arable land, 594 acres of meadow, 512 acres of pasture and 1011 acres of forest. In 1894 the Neuensund manor district was amalgamated with the Neuensund community and in 1900 the area covered a total of 1343  hectares .

From 1900, in addition to the local manor and forestry, the forest and forestry Recksee belonged to the place. Both were previously part of the Milow estate . With the abolition of the municipal law distinction between community and manor districts, the manor districts of Neuensund and Klepelshagen became part of the Neuensund community in 1928. In 1931, in addition to the community, the residential areas or districts Klepelshagen and Recksee were recorded and the size of the district was given as 1980.5 hectares. From 1950 the place belonged to the Ueckermünde district and in 1952 it came to the Strasburg district in the Neubrandenburg district . In 1957 Klepelshagen and Recksee were still part of the town. In 1981 Neuensund was again listed as a municipality.
