Career
Arnim belonged to a very wealthy family. This meant that as heir to several estates, he was not dependent on making a living. On June 6, 1882, he converted this agricultural property into a Fideikommiß , of which he became the 1st Fideikommißherr.
In addition to managing his estates, he dealt with questions of class politics for the knightly nobility. He was therefore chosen by his peers to be the chief electoral director. In addition, the court in Berlin entrusted him with the office of royal Prussian chamberlain . In addition to professional politics, he was involved as a conservative member of the Prussian House of Representatives, into which he had been elected for the 20th session for the constituency of Potsdam 6 ( Prenzlau and Angermünde ) (see list of members of the Prussian House of Representatives ), for general state-political questions. As a Protestant Christian, he was a legal knight of the Order of St. John .
