course

The Großbach rises on Großbachsee, which is located southwest of the Panargenscharte between the Keesegg and the Alplesspitze . It flows in a south-westerly direction down the valley and takes in a tributary on the left at 2381 meters above sea level. At around 2150 meters above sea level, the stream reaches the Oberhauser Zirmwald , which it then flows through. The Großbach flows south of the Oberhausalm at the Alpengasthof Oberhaus on the left into the Schwarzach. Neighboring waters are the rivers Bruchbach in the northwest and Hutnerbach in the southeast , which also flow in on the left .
