The Große Sternallee is an avenue through the Großer Tiergarten in Berlin . It runs from the Großer Stern to Tiergartenstrasse opposite the Indian Embassy . It also crosses the Großer Weg and the Ahornsteig .

history

The Große Sternallee is often referred to as the smaller version of the Siegesallee . When the Victory Column was implemented in 1938, groups of figures from Siegesallee were also distributed in the zoo. Several were placed on the Große Sternallee.

In the course of the restructuring of the Great Zoo after the Second World War , the Great Star Alley was turned into a pedestrian promenade; the many sculptures of yore have either been destroyed or stored. The avenue was renovated from 1986 to 1987 on the occasion of the 750th anniversary of Berlin together with the Fasanerieallee .
