The Spreeweg (formerly: Spreeallee ) is a street in the Tiergarten district of Berlin . It runs from the Großer Stern through the Großer Tiergarten to the Spree .
history
The earlier course of the Spreeweg led on the banks of the Spree east of the Luther Bridge to Zeltenplatz (then: Kurfürstenplatz ). When it was renamed Schlieffenufer (today: John-Foster-Dulles-Allee ) in 1934, the Spreeweg shrank to its current length from the Großer Stern to the Spree.
Bellevue Palace and the Office of the Federal President are located on the Spreeweg .
