The Big Pond Hemminger (also called Hemminger pond) is a quarry pond in the southern city of Hannover , Lower Saxony .
It belongs to the Ricklinger Kiesteiche group in the floodplain of the Leine . The Große Hemminger Teich adjoins the Große Ricklinger Teich to the south and lies between the smaller lake Strandbad Hemmingen in the west and the Großer Döhrener Teich in the east. The Seniebach , which connects the lake with the Great Ricklinger pond, flows through the Großer Hemminger Teich .
The lake is used by the Hanover fishing association as angling waters. In 2009 eel, perch, pike, carp, rainbow trout, roach, tench, catfish and pikeperch were reported from the lake.
