Great stone graves near Blumberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The megalithic graves near Blumberg were three megalithic graves from the Neolithic Age near Blumberg , a district of Casekow in the Uckermark district ( Brandenburg ).

location

The graves were north of Blumberg, north of the Karlsberg Vorwerk . The field name "Kotzenfeld" has been handed down at the location, and the location may also be identical to the field name "Hünensteine".

description

There are only more detailed descriptions of the hill fillings. There is a larger sand hill with a diameter of 20 m and a height of 2 m and two smaller hills with diameters between 6 m and 9 m and heights of 0.5 m each. The larger hill shows traces of an old excavation. No information is available about the dimensions, orientation and type of the burial chambers. A stone slab about 1 m long was found west of the larger hill. Due to their size, the graves are more likely to be referred to as large stone graves and not as stone boxes. Since no finds are known, the cultural allocation of the facilities is uncertain.
