The megalithic graves near Mühlenkamp are two megalithic graves of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Mühlenkamp , a district of Sassen-Trantow in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ), which have not yet been investigated in detail . Their existence was not known until 1964. Friedrich von Hagenow , who had recorded numerous large stone graves and burial mounds in the vicinity, does not mention these facilities.

location

Grave 1 is located in the village at the end of the street Zur Schwinge. Just a few meters to the south there is a Neolithic Rillenstein . Grave 2 is located 200 m northeast in a group of trees in a field. The Mühlenkamp grounds are part of a larger group of megalithic tombs that extend southwest of Greifswald between Dargelin in the east and Düvier in the west. The graves to the west near Schwinge and east near Zarrentin have been destroyed today. The closest preserved structures are the megalithic stone graves at Sassen, 2 km to the northeast .

description

Both areas are hills covered with trees. The stone fixtures have not been investigated. It is therefore not possible to determine the exact type of grave.
