The large stone grave Hallalit is a megalithic burial complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Hallalit , a district of Vollrathsruhe in the Mecklenburg Lake District ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ).

location

The grave is located about 500 m west of Hallalit in the forest at the intersection of two paths.

description

The complex was already badly damaged by 1900. Robert Beltz noted an east-west oriented megalithic bed with an oval stone enclosure. The burial chamber , the stones of which have been blown up, is at the eastern end of the bed. Beltz did not provide a more detailed description of the chamber. Ulrich Schoknecht was able to determine in 1958 that it was a large dolmen . All later publications refer to these two reports.

During Beltz's investigation in 1900, a flat ax made of gray-white flint was found that came into private hands.
