description

Lähden I is located about 2.8 kilometers north of Lähden on the highway from Waldhöfe-Ost to Lähden, in the integrated municipality of Herzlake in the Emsland district in Lower Saxony .

The chamber, which is 21.5 meters long and 1.8 meters wide, is relatively well preserved. The remnants of the border, which is half removed and otherwise somewhat destroyed, of the not quite typical northeast-southwest-oriented Emsland Chamber, point to one of the rare concentric double oval borders, here 25 meters long and seven meters wide. The remains of the hill can be seen in the terrain. Originally the chamber had 15 cap stones.

The large stone grave in the great sand is in the vicinity (Sprockhoff no. 867).
