The Retzow large stone grave is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Retzow , a district of Rechlin in the Mecklenburg Lake District ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It bears the Sprockhoff number 449.

location

The grave is located about 200 m south-east of the memorial site of the former Retzow satellite camp and 100 m north of federal highway 192 . It is fenced in in a group of trees and can be reached via a path.

description

The complex has a heavily destroyed, probably northeast-southwest oriented burial chamber , the type of which can no longer be determined. Four stones are still preserved, probably two wall stones and two cap stones. A wall stone still appears to be in situ . Ernst Sprockhoff assumed with some caution that the chamber originally consisted of two yokes.
