The large stone grave Tensfeld is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Tensfeld in the Segeberg district in Schleswig-Holstein . It bears the Sprockhoff number 237.

location

The grave is located north of Tensfeld, near the municipal boundary to Damsdorf in a field near the Tensfelder Au . There were originally numerous other large stone graves in the vicinity: to the north between Tensfelderau and the Stocksee there were still several graves of unknown numbers in the first half of the 19th century. 2.7 km to the west were the megalithic graves near Damsdorf .

description

This complex has an almost north-south oriented burial chamber with a trapezoidal floor plan sunk into the ground. There is no longer any pile of hills. The chamber is an enlarged dolmen with a length of 2.4 m and a width of 1.4 m in the north and 1 m in the south. It has three wall stones on the western and two on the eastern long side, one end stone each on the narrow sides and two cap stones. Except for the slightly displaced southern capstone, all stones are still in situ . The southern narrow side is flanked by one stone in the west and two stones in the east. Its exact function is unclear.
