The Gross Bigerhorn is a three-thousand-meter peak in the Valais Alps . Like the Barrhorn, it is one of the highest peaks in the Alps, accessible by (alpine) hikes. A little common name is the Balfrinrothorn .

Ascent

From Grächen or Gasenried to the Bordierhütte (5 h), then to the saddle between Klein and Gross Bigerhorn. Steep alpine hike in rubble and scree, some with existing tracks. Short climbing passages.
