Karl Grotmann

Karl Grotmann (born September 17, 1901 in Duisburg , † May 21, 1981 in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Grotmann was a businessman by trade. After the Second World War he helped found the CDU in the Ahrweiler district and was its district chairman from 1950 to 1959 and again from 1967 to 1969. In the Sinzig office he belonged to the official representation and was also an alderman .

From 1952 to 1960 and from 1969 to 1974 he was district deputy in the Ahrweiler district . From 1959 to 1967 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament for the CDU , where he was a member of the viticulture and legal committee. The state parliament elected him a member of the third federal assembly , which in 1959 elected Heinrich Lübke as federal president . In 1967 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class.
