history

The Groupe Minoteries was founded in Geneva in 1885 under the name Minoteries de Plainpalais SA . The takeover of Bruggmühle Goldach in 2002 created the largest industrial milling group in Switzerland. At the beginning of 2011, Biomill AG (small animal feed) was sold to Fenaco . In 2015, the group sold its Moulins de Sion SA facility and relocated production to Gebrüder Augsburger AG Rhonemühle Naters , in which it took a 30% stake in return. The production facility in Penthalaz , which Groupe Minoteries acquired from Cargill in 2013 , was closed in 2016; the company Grands Moulins de Cossonay S.á.rl, the brand Grands Moulins de Cossonay and the grain collection point in Penthalaz will continue to operate.
