The Emma mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach and Cologne . The point of discovery was in the Gronau district .
history
The Berechtsamsakte contains a Schurfschein to Jacob Volbach of 8 October 1847. Schurf of Eisenstein and other ores "on the hillsides Gierath , Schlodderdich and fire Roster ". On November 20, 1847, HH Arntz informed the mining authorities that he had acquired the rights in favor of Mr. Pickhardt & Konsorten von Volbach and applied for a courtesy certificate . On March 13, 1850, Theodor Kamper applied for a certificate of courage on Raseneisenstein . With a notary contract dated February 15, 1850, Kamper granted Obersteiger Friedrich Hermanni from the Society for Rhenish Mining and Hüttenbetrieb the power of attorney to take all decisions and actions in connection with speculations and awards. The award document on Eisenstein to Theodor Kamper is dated January 15, 1851. In the same year, a request was made for the operation to be terminated, which was repeated continuously until 1860 and was approved by the mining authorities with deferrals . There is no information about the further operation of the mine.
The mine field extended predominantly in the Cologne urban area in Strunden between Gierather Straße, Penningsfelder Weg (formerly Maarweg), Bensberger Marktweg and Hasselstraße. The point of discovery was in the Bergisch Gladbach urban area on the southern edge of the former Deutz pond.
