The Sangberg mine was a copper mine near Dillbrecht ( Haiger municipality ) in the Lahn-Dill district . In the Official Gazette of the Royal Government of Wiesbaden, 1869 edition , the granting of mining rights to Müller Wilhelm Ameis zu Fellerdilln is officially announced:

Royal Mining Authority. In the name of the king. On the basis of the presumption of May 30, 1867, the miller Wilhelm Ameis zu Fellerdilln became the property of the mine under the name Sangberg in the field in the municipalities of Dillbrecht, Fellerdilln, Niederroßbach and Oberroßbach, in the Dill district, administrative district Wiesbaden and Oberbergamts district Bonn, which had an area of has three hundred and fifty thousand square laughs and the boundaries of which are marked on the situation map certified today with the letters A, B, C, E, for the extraction of the copper ores occurring in the field according to the mining law of June 24, 1865. Deed made out. Bonn, June 16, 1869

The mine had two tunnels . In Sangberg I ( location ) copper was mined, in Sangberg II, only about 50 m down the slope from Sangberg I, ( location ) lead and iron . Mining was carried out for a couple of years. The mined material probably corresponds to the continuation of a passage material from the Aurora mine . The tunnel mouth holes are still preserved or recognizable, as are the heaps below the tunnels.
