Gruber Prize for Neuroscience
The Gruber Neuroscience Prize is a science award in the field of neuroscience awarded since 2004 by the Peter and Patricia Gruber Foundation based on Saint Thomas . It is intended to recognize important discoveries that have helped advance understanding of the nervous system .
Like the other Gruber Prizes , the prize is endowed with 500,000 US dollars , which the winner can freely use. The winners also receive a gold medal engraved with their name and the research achievement recognized.
