Gruithuisen is a moon crater named after the German astronomer Franz von Paula Gruithuisen .

description

Gruithuisen is a relatively small impact crater in the northwest of the front of the moon , in the plain between Oceanus Procellarum and Mare Imbrium . To the north of Gruithuisen are the mountains Mons Gruithuisen Gamma and Mons Gruithuisen Delta on a bulge of the Oceanus Procellarum .
