Grum (* 1986 in Edinburgh ) is the stage name of Graeme Shepherd , an electro musician from Great Britain .

Career

Shepherd was influenced in his youth by bands like The Human League , Daft Punk and Fischerspooner . From 2008 he also produced his own pieces of music, which he offered free of charge on the Internet. His pieces represented a mixture of house , electroclash and Italo disco and were quickly picked up and played by DJs. The producer Kevin McKay became aware of Grum and offered him a record deal. The record company Heartbeats was founded in 2009, and Grum's first single Runaway was released in the same year .

After two more singles, the debut album Heartbeats followed in May 2010 . It received mostly good to very good reviews.

Grum also delivered remixes for artists such as Pet Shop Boys ( Together ), Lady Gaga ( Bad Romance) , Goldfrapp ( Rocket ) and Groove Armada ( History ).

Graeme Shepherd lives in Leeds .
