Grupo Osborne is a Spanish family business that has traditionally been dedicated to wine, spirits, Iberian pork products and, more recently, mineral water. It owns, for example, the brands Fino Quinta, Magno, 501, Conde de Osborne, Conde de Osborne Dalí , 103 Etiqueta blanca, 103 Etiqueta negra, Reserva del Toro, Anís del Mono , Jamones 5J and Solán de Cabras. In Germany she is primarily known for her Brandy Veterano . In 2005 it generated sales of EUR 313 million. The company's headquarters are in El Puerto de Santa María .

history

The Osborne company was founded in Cádiz in 1772 by the Englishman Thomas Osborne Mann from Exeter ( Devonshire ) . In 1825 at the latest, the company moved to El Puerto de Santa Maria. In 1956 Manolo Prieto invented the company's trademark, the Osborne bull . This was set up as a large display on the streets of Spain and developed such a dynamic of its own that it is now considered the unofficial national symbol of Spain and can be found widespread on flags and car stickers.
