Grzegorz Grzeban
Grzegorz Grzeban (Bagdasarian) (born July 28, 1902 in Chișinău , Moldova , † October 21, 1991 in Warsaw ) was a Polish composer of chess studies .
His birth name was Bagdasarian and he was a biochemist by profession . When he was transferred from Chișinău to Warsaw after the Second World War , he took the pseudonym Grzeban .
For 25 years he headed the study section of the Polish chess magazine Szachy , which he founded.
Grzeban first published a chess composition in 1927. He published 150 studies in the course of his life. He received 60 awards, including 25 prizes. In 1960 Grzeban was appointed International Chess Composition Referee . In 1987 he received the Polish title of Master of Chess Composition .

Solution: 1. Kd1 – c1 Bh2xf4 2. Kc1 – b2 Sa3xb1 3. Kb2xb1 Bf4 – d6! 4. Kb1 – b2! (A fatal mistake would be 4. Kb1xa1 ??. Black plays 4.… Bd6 – a3 !, after White becomes uncoverable mate: 5. Ka1 – b1 Kd4xd3 6. Kb1 – a1 Kd3 – c2! And 7.… Ba3– b2 mate) 4.… Bd6 – e7 5. a2 – a4 and 6. Kb2xa1 draw.
