Career

Podstawek began his professional career in 1999 near Śląsk Wrocław . But as so often in his career, he didn't stay long and moved to Karkonosze Jelenia Góra for the second half of the season . Then he played a season for Pogoń Oleśnica and moved to the second half of the season on loan to Bischofswerdaer FV 08 . In the 2001/02 season he played again for a season for his ex-club Pogoń Oleśnica. In 2002 the striker played for Polar Wrocław , where he scored 14 goals in 32 games. The following year he made 16 games for Arka Gdynia and scored one goal. But even there it only lasted half a year until he moved to Stasiak Opoczno in the second half of the season . After half a year had passed there, Podstawek moved to KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and met there in 28 games five times. For the 2005/06 season he moved to Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała , for which he played 30 games and scored seven goals. In 2006 he moved to his current club Polonia Bytom, where he also made promotion to the Ekstraklasa with the team in his first season . In the Ekstraklasa, the highest Polish division, he scored 20 goals in 95 games for Polonia Bytom. After the disappointing relegation in the 2010/11 season, Podstawek changed his employer and went to league competitor Górnik Polkowice . Between 2012 and 2014 Podstawek played for the club Falko Rzeplin in the south of Wroclaw . Since January 2014 Podstawek has been working as a trainer for the MKS Piast Żmigród . During the 2015/16 season, the club played in the 3rd division Lower Silesia , the fourth highest division in Polish football .
