The Gsengetstein (951 m) is one of the smaller mountains in the Bavarian Forest , which is located in a less visited ridge between the villages of Rinchnach , Kirchdorf im Wald and Frauenau .
On its rocky summit there is a large wooden cross, the view is towards the southwest. Although the Gsengetstein rises directly above the busy B 85 , it is hardly visited and is therefore an idyllic resting place. Possible climbs start in Kirchdorf im Wald, Schlag, Ried or Gehmannsberg at the famous Frauenbrünnl church.
