Gudrun Kruger

Gudrun Krüger (born February 11, 1922 in Tübingen ; † May 25, 2004 in Eningen unter Achalm ) was a visual artist . She was married to Fritz Schwegler and last lived in Eningen under Achalm. She is considered an artist of high standing, whose works can be found in the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London .

education

From 1939 to 1941 she studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with Alfred Lörcher ; then a private study with Otto Baum . From 1943 to 1944 she was in the master's atelier of the Vienna Academy , before she stayed in London for four years from 1953 and then returned to her homeland. Already at the end of the war she described herself as a freelance artist. She was a member of the Deutscher Künstlerbund , the Künstlerbund Baden-Württemberg and the GEDOK .
