Gudrun Schaich-Walch
Gudrun Schaich-Walch b. Huppke (born August 20, 1946 in Copenhagen ) is a German politician ( SPD ).
From 2001 to 2002 she was Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Health .
Life and work
After completing secondary school , Gudrun Schaich-Walch completed an apprenticeship as a physical-technical assistant until 1969 . Most recently she was the technical director of the cell laboratory at the Society for Radiation and Environmental Research.
Gudrun Schaich-Walch is married and has one child.
Political party
She has been a member of the SPD since 1972. From 1996 she was a member of the executive committee of the SPD sub-district in Frankfurt am Main .
MPs
From 1985 to 1989 she was a member of the city council of Frankfurt am Main and after the municipal elections in 1989 moved to the city council as an honorary councilor.
From 1990 to 2005 Gudrun Schaich-Walch was a member of the German Bundestag . From 1998 to 2000 she was health policy spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group and from 2002 to 2005 deputy chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group for health, social order and petitions .
Gudrun Schaich-Walch was a directly elected member of the constituency of Frankfurt am Main I and Frankfurt am Main II in 2002 and 1998, and before that he had always entered the Bundestag via the Hesse state list.
Public offices
On January 12, 2001, she was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Health in the Federal Government led by Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder . After the federal election in 2002, she left office on October 22, 2002.
