Guglielmo Carraroli

Guglielmo Carraroli was an Italian motorsport technician , racing car driver and later team owner.

Career in motorsport

Guglielmo Carraroli was a racing mechanic in the early 1920s and a co-driver for Enzo Ferrari for many years . He later held this position with Luigi Arcangeli and Mario Ghersi, among others . With Arcangeli he won the Circuito del Sud in 1930 .

In 1931 he began to drive himself as a factory driver for Scuderia Ferrari . He competed in both monoposto and sports car races . In 1934 he finished eleventh at the Gran Premio di Tripoli and a year later ninth at this racing event .

In the sports car, he won the Targa Puglia in 1931 for the Scuderia ; where he replaced himself with Francesco Severi at the wheel of an Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 in this race . In 1932 he was fifth in the Mille Miglia and in 1933 third in the Coppa della Sila .

After the Second World War , he led a dedicated racing team; His team's vehicles were entered in the Tour de France for automobiles in 1953 and 1954 . In 1954, Jacques Péron and R. Bertramnier achieved third place overall on an Osca MT4 1500 .
