Alfred Dost

Guido Alfred Dost (born August 21, 1859 in Niederrabenstein ; † December 29, 1929 in Schneeberg ) was a German elementary school teacher, composer, local historian and dialect poet of the western Ore Mountains . His brother Bruno Dost worked like him in Schneeberg.

Guido Alfred Dost attended the royal seminary in Schneeberg from 1875 to 1880 and, after completing his training, worked as a primary school teacher in the aforementioned mountain town until his death. He earned merit as a music teacher and composer, but also as a dialect poet and local historian.
