Guido Virgilio Alvarenga Torales (born August 24, 1970 in Asunción ) is a former Paraguayan football player .

Career

society

Alvarenga began his career at Sport Colombia , where he played from 1989 to 1991. He then played at Deportivo Mandiyú , CA Banfield , Universitario de Deportes , Cerro Porteño , Kawasaki Frontale , Club León , Club Libertad and Club Olimpia . In 2006 he ended his playing career.

National team

In 1995, Alvarenga made his debut for the Paraguayan national soccer team . He was appointed to the squad for the 1991 , 1999 , 2001 Copa America , the 1992 Summer Olympics and the 2002 World Cup . He has played a total of 24 caps for Paraguay.
