Guido III. (St. Pol)

Guido III. of Châtillon (Guy III. de Châtillon) (attested in 1290; † April 6, 1317 ) was Count of Saint-Pol . He was the second son of Guido II of Châtillon , Count of Saint-Pol, and Mathilde of Brabant . While his older brother inherited the county of Blois , he got the county of Saint-Pol, as well as the dominions of Ancre , Luceu and Doullenger .

On July 11, 1302, he fought in the disastrous Battle of the Golden Spurs against the Flemings , which he survived.

On July 22, 1292, he married Marie de Bretagne (* 1268, † March 5, 1339), daughter of Johann II Duke of Bretagne from the house of France-Dreux . He is buried in the Cercamp monastery .
