player

In 1984, Klöpper moved from MTV 1860 Minden to the B-youth team of Bundesliga club Grün-Weiß Dankersen . In the senior division, he first played two years for the Minden reserve team in the association league and only had occasional missions in the second division team. By moving to promoted TSG Altenhagen-Heepen in 1993, he stayed in the second division for another year before playing for five years at TuS Jöllenbeck and for another seven years for VfL Mennighüffen in the major league. In Mennighüffen, Klöpper ended his career in 2006, but helped out again in the relegation battle of the 2009/2010 season. Shortly before the end of the season, however, he tore his Achilles tendon partially during the game at TSV Hahlen .
