Guido Löhrer

Guido Löhrer (* 1960 in Aachen ) is a German philosopher . He has been teaching at the University of Erfurt since 2008 .

Career

Löhrer began studying philosophy, German and art history in 1978 in Bonn , Bologna and Freiburg . In 1993 he was in Freiburg with a thesis on Immanuel Kant to the doctor of philosophy doctorate . Teaching positions at the universities in Freiburg i. Br., Saarbrücken and Bern and from 1997 to 1998 a substitute professor at the University of Hanover. In 2001, Löhrer completed his habilitation with a thesis on action theory at the University of Bern with the title Practical Knowledge , in which he expanded, among other things, the constructive type theory Per Martin-Löfs .

After substituting a chair in Regensburg in 2006, he was appointed professor for practical philosophy at the University of Erfurt in 2008.

His focus is on the theory of action and philosophy of mind (Theory of Mind and Action), metaethics , normative ethics , theories of moral change, epistemology , ontology and philosophy of language .

In addition, he was co-editor of the series History of Philosophy: People, Periods, Problems at the Scientific Book Society, Darmstadt, Board member of the Swiss Philosophical Society and is a founding member of the German-Polish Society for Philosophy.
