Guido Reif

Guido Reif (* 1902 ; † December 6, 1953 in Dresden ) was a German dramaturge , director and translator.

Life

After completing his studies, Guido Reif worked as a dramaturge at theaters in Bielitz , Brno and Vienna . From 1933 to 1938 he wrote as a journalist for several workers' newspapers. After the Second World War he became head of the cultural department at the state broadcaster in Dresden . From 1949 he began to work as a dramaturge and director at the Staatstheater Dresden . Here he also performed several pieces he wrote himself, as well as pieces he translated from the Czech language. In his function he was also responsible for the design of the programs and yearbooks of the Dresden State Theaters.

In December 1953, Guido Reif died in Dresden after a long and serious illness.
