Guido from Kaulla

Guido von Kaulla (born September 26, 1909 in Mainz , † January 3, 1991 in Konstanz ) was a German actor, book and screenwriter.

Life

Born in Mainz , Guido Von Kaulla came to Constance via Berlin in 1946 . There he wrote numerous fairy tale adaptations for the Konstanz City Theater and was responsible for its children's and Christmas performances for many years.

In addition, Kaulla occupied himself with the writer Klabund (1890-1928) all his life . His widow, Carola Neher (1900–1942), had entrusted Kaulla with the administration of parts of his estate after her husband's death. After a first attempt in the early 1930s, a biography of Klabund, written by Kaulla, was published by Claassen-Verlag in 1971 : “Brennendes Herz Klabund. Legend and Reality ”. Kaulla's interest in Klabund resulted in two more works: 1977 "Klabautermann + Vagabund" and 1984 "And burn in his heart - the actress Carola Neher and Klabund".

family

Guido von Kaulla was a member of the German-Jewish Kaulla family . His parents were Erwin Theodor von Kaulla (1877–1956) and Toska von Bake (1884–1970), a daughter of Alfred von Bake (1854–1934). He was married to the actress and writer Thekla von Kaulla (1915–?).
