Guillaume de Conflans / Conflens , Willelmus de Conflens († August 12, 1294 ) was bishop of Geneva from 1287 to 1294 .

Life

He was the son of Raymond de Duingt and Anne de Conflans. Guillaume was archdeacon of Hereford in 1255 . In 1287 he became Bishop of Geneva. His term of office was determined by conflicts with Count Amadeus V of Savoy and the communal movement of the city of Geneva . To secure his temporal power Guillaume convened in Vienne , a provincial council one, but the investiture of the Count of Savoy as was 1290 Viztum the diocese not prevent it.
