Guillermo Saavedra Tapia (born November 5, 1903 in Rancagua , Chile , † May 12, 1957 ) was a Chilean football player .
Career
Midfielder Saavedra was in Caupolicán's squad at least in 1926 . From 1926 to 1928 he played for Rancagua FC . Subsequently, in the years 1928 to 1930, Colo-Colo is listed as a further career station for him.
National team
He was a member of the national team of his home country and participated with it in the Campeonato Sudamericano in 1926 (4 appearances), in the Summer Olympics in 1928 (two appearances) and then in the first football World Cup in 1930 . During the World Cup tournament, he was used in all three games in Chile. Overall, he completed in the course of his career from his debut on October 12, 1926 to July 22, 1930 nine internationals in the years 1926 to 1930, in which he scored a goal in the game on October 31, 1926 against Argentina.
