Horacio Muñoz (born May 18, 1896 in Tocopilla , Chile , † October 23, 1976 ) was a Chilean football player .

society

At club level, Muñoz played for the CDF Arturo Fernández Vial based in Concepción . In 1927 he took part in an international tour with Colo Colo .

National team

Muñoz, who played in the position of the striker , was a member of the national team of his home country and took part with it in the first football World Cup in 1930 . There he was only part of the Chilean squad. He cannot show any use during the tournament. At the South American Championships in 1917 , 1919 and 1920 he was also in the Chilean squad. From his debut on October 6, 1917 in Montevideo in a game against Argentina to Chile's duel in Viña del Mar against Uruguay on September 26, 1920, he completed seven international matches.

Others

He found his final resting place, as did the brothers Guillermo , Francisco and David Arellano , Guillermo Saavedra , Víctor Morales and other greats Colo-Colos, in the Mausoleo Viejos Cracks Colo Colo on the Cementerio General .
