Gulfam Malik (2018)

Gulfam Malik (born March 15, 1957 in Pakistan ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament since 2015 .

Life

Gulfam Malik grew up in Pakistan and came at age 18 to Hamburg, where he was now an independent merchant is engaged in the flower trade. In 2009 he founded the Langenhorn Citizens' Forum.

Malik has held a mandate in the Hamburg North District Assembly since 2008 . Since 2014 he has been chairman of the SPD district Langenhorn- Süd. In the 2015 Hamburg state elections , he entered the state through the Fuhlsbüttel-Alsterdorf-Langenhorn constituency . He is a member of the Interior Committee, the Committee on Europe and International, and the Environment and Energy Committee.

On February 23, 2020, Malik was able to move into the Hamburg citizenship again .
