Gunilla Hansson , b. Cederholm (born November 14, 1939 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish illustrator and children's book author .

Life and work

Gunilla Hansson is the daughter of Nils Thore Cederholm and Gun Elving. 1955–1961 she completed an apprenticeship in textile, advertising and book art at Konstfack . In 1961 she became a graphic designer at Bonnier-Verlag , from 1965 as a freelance worker. Her books have been translated into German, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, English, Spanish, French, Faroese and Icelandic, among others.

Together with the author Grethe Fagerström, Hansson won the 1980 German Youth Literature Prize for the book Peter, Ida and Minimum.

From 1964 to 1982 she was married to the author Hasse Hansson (* 1940), with whom she also worked.
