Gunnar Breske (born December 17, 1979 in Jena ) is a German journalist and television presenter . Since 2013 he has been presenting the main news program on MDR TV, MDR aktuell .

Career

Gunnar Breske studied political science at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena . While still a student, he worked as a news editor for the private radio station Antenne Thüringen . After completing his studies, he began an editorial traineeship at MDR in Leipzig . Since 2007 he has been an editor and live reporter for the Tagesschau and the Tagesthemen at ARD . Since then he has been working for MDR Aktuell in the same position. In 2012 he temporarily switched to ARD-aktuell in Hamburg . Gunnar Breske has moderated the MDR Aktuell edition at 5:45 p.m. since 2013 . In 2016 he will also be responsible for the presentation of the main editions at 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

Breske also works as a media and communication trainer.

Gunnar Breske lives with his wife and two children near Leipzig.
