Gunnar Graewert (born March 4, 1974 in Bonn ) is a German musician, songwriter, producer and label manager.

The beginnings

Gunnar Graewert attended the Michaeli-Gymnasium in Munich , where he graduated from high school in 1995. Thanks to a professionally run music and theater department headed by Bernd Lücking and Bernhard Hofmann , Graewert's enthusiasm for writing music and performance was encouraged early on.

In addition to various percussion instruments that he learned during this time, at the age of 16 he began to play the piano as well as the saxophone and wrote his first songs.

After graduating from high school, he worked for Deutsche Lufthansa as a part-time employee for 12 months and traveled the world in his free time.

Studied in Liverpool, UK

In 1996 he applied for the new Performing Arts Academy Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts , which was founded by Paul McCartney based on the film Fame by Alan Parker . Graewert first attended a diploma course in pop music , which he completed with distinction. He then took a bachelor's degree in performing arts (majoring in music), which he also graduated with honors in 2000.

During this time he wrote and arranged in the academy's own recording studio and made international contacts.

Career

In 2000 he returned to Munich from Liverpool and initially worked with the producer Axel Kroell on his projects and contributed music for series such as SOKO 5113 , among other things .

He soon decided to work independently and one year later founded the company Young & Loud , which has since been based in the Munich Downtown Studios. Further company foundings followed in 2012 with the music label HonuLani Records and the music publisher HonuLani Publishing. In addition, Gunnar Graewert works as a lecturer for the specially created subject songwriting at the University of Regensburg and the University of Augsburg.

Claudia Koreck

It is planned that in addition to Claudia Koreck, other artists will also publish on it. The name Honu Lani comes from a house on the island of Kaua'i where the album of the same name was recorded. One of the Hawaiian islands that Graewert and Koreck visit frequently.

Private

He has been married to Claudia Koreck since 2010. The two have a son and a daughter together.
