Claudia Koreck (born May 28, 1986 in Traunstein ) is a German singer-songwriter who sings in Bavarian dialect and in English .

life and career

Claudia Koreck grew up first in Traunstein, later in Hufschlag . She began to make music at the age of twelve, in 2002 and 2003 she was a prize winner of the competition “ Treffen Junge Musik-Szene ” at the Berliner Festspiele . She plays keyboard and guitar . Originally she also sang in English and High German, but now she sings in Bavarian . In 2005 she took part in the local hero regional singing competition organized by Blickpunkt Wochenblatt Rosenheim and regional television Upper Bavaria.

After graduating from high school , Koreck moved to Munich . She began studying Neo-Greek Studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , which she dropped out after only half a semester. In 2007 she was discovered with the song Fliang (flying) by the radio station Bayern 3 and heavily advertised. On August 17, 2007, their first album came out, which is also called Fliang . It was number one among the best-selling albums in Bavaria and number 15 in the music charts in Germany . Koreck was a member of the Menschenskinder project .

With the single s'ewige Lem , Koreck contributed the theme song to Joseph Vilsmaier's remake of the story of Kaspar from Brandner in 2008 . On February 13th, 2009 she represented Bavaria at Stefan Raab's Bundesvision Song Contest with the song I wui that du woasst and took 10th place. On the same day, her second studio album Barfuaß um die Welt was released . In 2011 she played as the opening act for the Eagles at their concerts in Germany. In 2011 she also sang the song LaLeLu for Disney Junior , which is always played at the station at the end of the broadcast.

In 2013 Koreck recorded the song Weida with artists from Bavaria under the music project Cpt. Nepomuk's Friendly Heart Choir Club .

In 2016 she played with her band on the 30th anniversary of the songs on a summer evening , on the CD she can be heard with Bunter Vogel and Stadt Land Fluss .

In December 2018 the singer was on tour through Bavaria. From May 2020 she will tour Germany with the album "Auf die Freiheit".

Private

Since September 2010, Koreck has had a son. Their daughter was born in January 2014. She lives with her husband, the producer Gunnar Graewert and two children again in her native Traunstein.
