Gunter Schmidt (politician)

Gunter Schmidt (born November 3, 1954 in Borau ) is a German politician ( DBD , CDU ). From 1990 to 1998 he was a member of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament .

Education and life

After graduating from high school, Gunter Schmidt studied agriculture at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and graduated as a qualified agricultural engineer. From 1979 to 1981 he worked as an economist at LPG (P) Prittitz and from 1981 to 1990 was a member of the Hohenmölsen Council for Environmental Protection, Water Management and Recreation. In 1990 he became LPG chairman for milk production in Nessa.

Gunter Schmidt is a Protestant, married and has two children.

politics

Gunter Schmidt has been a member of the DBD since 1979. After reunification , he became a member of the CDU in 1990. He was directly elected to the state parliament in the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990 in the Hohenmölsen-Weißenfels II state electoral district (WK 44). In the 1994 state elections, he defended his constituency mandate (now the Hohenmölsen-Weißenfels constituency (WK 49)).
