The Gurieb is an ephemeral dry river ( Rivier ) in the southwest of Namibia . It rises on the Schwarzrand , flows under the national road B4 and the railway line Aus - Keetmanshoop near Simplon and flows into the Konkiep in the ǁKaras region . The river is also often called the Gurib.
