Gustaf Ekberg (born April 26, 1890 , † September 28, 1963 ) was a Swedish football player and referee .

Career

Gustaf Ekberg played in his football career from 1911 to 1916 for Johanneshovs IF. The club from the Stockholm district of Johanneshov joined Hammarby IF in 1918 . For the Swedish national football team Ekberg played from 1911 to 1915 in a total of nine international matches. He made his debut in June 1911 in a 2: 4 defeat against Germany .

After the end of his active football career, he worked as a football referee for the Swedish Football Association. Among other things, he directed all three tournament games of the Baltic Cup in 1928 .
