Gustav Archibald von Zedlitz-Leipe

Gustav Sigismund Ferdinand Archibald Freiherr von Zedlitz-Leipe (born January 18, 1824 in Breslau ; † December 2, 1914 at Gut Käntchen ) was a Prussian landowner and politician.

Life

origin

Gustav comes from the Silesian noble family of the Zedlitz . He was the son of the landlord August Freiherr von Zedlitz-Leipe (1789–1873) and his wife Jenny, née Countess von Roedern (1798–1879). His younger brother Adolf (1826–1906) became Prussian lieutenant general , Hans (1833–1889) Prussian district administrator for the Schweidnitz district .

Career

Gustav von Zedlitz was the owner of the Käntchen and Zülzendorf estates, state elder of the Schweidnitz-Jauer landscape, legal knight of the Order of St. John and provost of the Zedlitz-Leipzig noble fräuleinstift in Kupsdorf.

From 1877 until his death in 1914 he was a member of the Prussian manor house at the presentation of the old and fortified property of the principalities of Schweidnitz and Jauer .

family

Zedlitz married Johanna Gräfin zur Lippe-Weissenfeld from Haus See (* December 6, 1828 - April 2, 1862), a sister of the Prussian Justice Minister Leopold zur Lippe-Biesterfeld-Weissenfeld, on May 20, 1856 . The couple had two daughters and had one son:

  • Auguste Johanne Helene (* 1857)
  • Dietz Sigismund Gustav (1859–1946), District Administrator of the Schweidnitz district
  • Elise Johanne Charlotte (* 1860)

In his second marriage, he married Agnes von Seydlitz-Ludwigsdorf-Habersdorf (* 1832) on October 31, 1864. The daughter Anna Jenny Marie Agnes (* 1865) emerged from the marriage.
